Denver recently hosted the 2025 International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Defense Expo, a key global event in the military and defense industry. KINGCERA arrange its sales to the expo and showcased their core products: full-plate alumina ceramic and
silicon carbide bulletproof ceramic plate. Thanks to their outstanding protective performance and innovative technology, these products attracted widespread attention and recognition from attendees.
Established in 1993, KINGCERA is a leading enterprise in China’s special ceramics industry. For over three decades, the company has focused on the R&D, production, and application of special ceramics and composite materials, accumulating extensive technical and manufacturing experience. Its products are widely used in domestic mining, power, steel, and other industries, and have been exported to more than 70 countries and regions, building a reliable image for “Made in China” in the global market.
By attending the U.S. defense expo, KINGCERA aimed to stay updated on the latest industry trends and market demands while taking the opportunity to promote its two
bulletproof ceramic products. This effort supports the company’s goal to expand further into the international defense market and demonstrate the technical strength of Chinese special ceramics.
At the expo, Steven, International Sales Manager at KINGCERA, introduced the full-plate alumina ceramic and silicon carbide bulletproof ceramic plate to customers. The silicon carbide bulletproof plate stood out as a “star product.” Its tightly bonded structure gives it high strength, hardness, wear resistance, and thermal shock resistance—all at a reasonable price, making it a cost-effective armor material. Compared to traditional protective materials, it offers the same protection level while being lighter, making it suitable for various defense scenarios such as personal equipment and special vehicles. This meets the modern defense needs for both high protection and mobility.
The full-plate alumina ceramic, on the other hand, offers stable performance and high cost-effectiveness, making it an ideal choice for mid- to low-intensity protection scenarios. Although not as lightweight as the silicon carbide version, alumina ceramic is easier to process and more affordable, making it suitable for protective equipment and security facilities where extreme conditions are not expected. Through live demonstrations and case studies, Steven clearly presented key features such as impact resistance and corrosion resistance, earning positive feedback from customers.
A defense procurement specialist from North America said after inspecting the samples, “The lightweight design of this silicon carbide bulletproof plate is impressive. It effectively reduces the load for individual soldiers while meeting our protection standards. We look forward to further discussions.” During the expo, KINGCERA reached preliminary cooperation intentions with several U.S. clients and received requests for further communication from dozens of potential customers. The company will arrange follow-up meetings with its technical team.
Participating in the 2025 IACP Defense Expo was not only an important opportunity for KINGCERA to present its latest innovations and learn about industry trends, but also a key step for China’s special ceramics industry to engage deeply with the global defense sector. The company’s team leader stated that KINGCERA will increase R&D investment in bulletproof ceramic materials based on market insights gained from the expo. They will continue to improve product performance and production techniques, promoting the wider use of special ceramics in global defense and security applications—ensuring that shields made in China can help protect more nations and regions.
